Ariel Shaffer, daughter of Heather and Blake, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Ariel’s favorite part of school is getting to have some Mondays off and her favorite class is Social Studies. She has two dogs and two cats. Her favorite show is Outer Banks. Ariel plays basketball, volleyball and softball.

Jasper High School seniors Chloe Storm and Quentin Winans were crowned basketball homecoming queen and king during ceremonies held prior to the game on Friday, Jan. 30. They were crowned by last year’s winners, Crystal Smith and Lincoln Moss. Also participating in the coronation ceremony were Lane Hartman and Ellie Crook.

She is an outstanding teacher who ensures her students understand the material by using a variety of effective instructional strategies. She genuinely cares about the success of her students and her colleagues and consistently goes above and beyond to support them. Mrs. Clemensen has been an instrumental part of the hospitality room at the Tony Dubray Classic for many years helping it build a solid reputation among tournament hospitality rooms.
